I finished G's time line book. I have been wrestling around with how I was going to create it and finally decided on card stock and a three ring binder. I used Photoshop to create the cover with images that come to mind when I think of history.
Then printed a line on each page so that it would be more consistent and professional.
I also switched colors for different time periods.
I used the following resource to guide my decision making...
Charmaine Wistad's Timeline Book
Creating a Timeline in Microsoft Word
The Date of Noah’s Flood
I will also use the following for image resources....
Classical Education Timeline Stickers(ordering)
Gallery of United States Presidents
Historical Timeline Figures Cd-rom (bought at Convention)
Edupics
Timeline of Art History
Clip Art Gallery
Cool Clips
Classroom Clip art
Famous Kings & Queens of England
Social Science Clip Art (update)
If I had unlimited $$$$
Time line Cut-Outs
History Through the Ages

Looks great! We are using Winter Promise's book, but haven't used it as much as I would have liked to. We just usually forget about it. Maybe when the school year starts, we can get it caught up.
Our Book of Centuries is very similar to yours... inexpensive & expandable. I, too, love the History Through the Ages but just can't bring myself to spend the $$. I try to be frugal so I can afford other things like a good microscope.
Wow, I am saving this for future use. I love how you created your timeline. Great ideas. Thanks.
I came here from Nina's. I was just agonizing yesterday over how to format our book - this is perfect! Thank you for sharing. I love the whole layout and the links - wonderful.
