We rode on our first parade float. Our church was promoting Vacation Bible School. It was great fun except G ran out of candy before we reached the main street. Live and Learn.

What a great opportunity. It always amazes me how often parades are mentioned in children's books and how few opportunities there are to attend a parade. I'm looking forward to finding a few this summer.

It was wonderful to experience the parade and not come home with bags full of candy.
