AHHHH Spring!

We finally had a day where we could go outside. Ahhh fresh air!! The weather here has been horrible lately, loads of snow & ice. We were out for an hour and a half. That is a long time for us. I am not and never have been an outside person. I want to change that.

I am tossing around the idea of adding nature study to our lessons next year. If I don't formally have it scheduled I won't do it. So I think I will have to be a bit artificial about it in the beginning to help form the habit. I have been so motivated by "friends" posts as they follow online nature study assignments. I want to join the bandwagon. I think it would do us both good physically and mentally. Getting out from the computer and TV which seems to suck all of our time during the day when not doing lessons. I think nature would be a great for our souls.

Come on and join us! No pressure here. :-) Really, it is one of the things my daughter and I love most. And, you can make it as big (like an all day nature outing) or as small (like 10-15 minutes in your backyard) as you'd like.

It's funny to see spring pics with coats and hats. Your child is bundled up more in your spring pic than mine have to get all winter :). We have been in bare feet and shorts here.
I agree..you should join school for us for your nature studies. They are the masters of nature studies!!!
