G had his first piano recital this weekend. It was informal, the children played at lunchtime at a local Senior Home. We were proud of his playing as he has only been taking lessons for a month. He played Old MacDonald Had a Note, Merrily We Roll Along, and Men from Mars.
She is the sweetest. We are really lucky. She is a licensed k12 music teacher in a former life so she really knows her stuff. She's also very flexible. G wanted to know how to write his own compositions, so she skipped the next lessons and taught him! We are working on writing originals this week.
